Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

During my teen age years my ultimate dream was to become a professional basketball player. I played basketball a lot. I watched NBA, PBA, PABL, NCAA and UAAP often, but nothing happened to my basketball dream. I did not even make it to our highschool intramurals team. With so many basketball enthusiast here, it would be very difficult for me to be a top basketball player in our school. I decided to divert my self into other sports.

At the age of sixteen, I joined the training of our club's swimming team. After training for six months, I was able to learn the four basic strokes( butterfly, breast stroke, back stroke, free style). My goal was to be able to represent our country in the 1992 Barcelona olympic(dreaming). The problem was...... At that time, the world record for 50 meter free style was 21.91 seconds by Alexander Popov, my fastest time was 35 seconds which was far far behind Alexander Popov's record hehehe. My dream didn't come true again.

1993, I found a new sports.. Body building, I worked out four to five times a week gaining almost fifteen to twenty pounds of muscle in a few years time. I didn't plan to join any competiton in this sports, it was purely exercise and body conditioning and after sometime I just got tired of it so I stopped. I decided to play basketball and go swimming again but this time it was just for fun and execise.

A few years back, my friend introduced badminton to me. I really did enjoy the fastest racket sports on earth, I hired the national team's coach to teach me some basics. I even joined some tournaments after that.. Again, I didn't excel in this sports. I end up enjoying watching the game of others hehehe.

Now, I'm into martial arts.... Boxing, muay thai, aikido, jujitsu, judo and krav maga... My dream??? I won't tell you, lets just see what will happen next...

DEADLIER ME

"When the fight gets tough, I just keep on training".  I'm waiting for my next mixed martial arts fight. I train 8 hrs. a day. 2 hrs. of Judo/jiu-jitsu, 2 hrs. of Muay Thai, 2 hrs. weight lifting/jogging and 2 hrs. of wrestling.

Those are only my imagination  . The fact is..... I'm a desperate mixed martial artist, I train 2 hrs. of muay thai every Friday and Sunday, 2 hrs. of Boxing every Monday and 1 and half hours of Aikido Tuesday and Thursday. Until now, I still dont have any fight nor sparring experience. I was supposed to join a boxing tournament last week but my fiancee and my mother won't allow me to join (sigh)... They don't even want me to spar with my training partners.
