In My Own Words

A little bird was flying in winter. The bird froze and fell to the ground. A cow came by and dropped some dung on it. The bird realized how warm it was and began to sing for joy. A passing cat heard the bird singing and dug him out and ate the bird.

What's the moral of the story???

1. Not everyone who drops shit on you is your enemy.

2. Not everyone who gets you out of the shit is your friend.

3. When you are in deep shit, keep your mouth shut.

I am getting married next month, by now everything is set and ready. I have a newly renovated house with modern Zen as its motif (very oriental). I have some abstract paintings, some Japanese flower arrangement, 14 inches high bed, the color of the house and furnitures varies from dark brown, light brown, beige, mocca, green and orange. I'm very satisfied with the work of my designer, the place is cozy, simple and nice.

Last Sunday, My future brother in law brought my fiancee's things into our house, it was a chinese tradition called "KE TSNG" or dowry. Everything comes in red from bed comforter, lantern, luggages etc etc... A cousin of my fiancee was spreading tea leaves at the same time  chanting  " lang be kaw, ien suy kaw". Chinese customs and tradition..Hay....!!  the cozyness, the beauty and the simplicity of our house was gone...

Traditional chinese people  just can't appreciate modern designed house. Abstract paintings, they want paintings with eight horses or river and  mountain. Fourteen inches high bed, almost all my older visitors gave negative comments to that bed. Flower arrangement, again negative reactions from these traditional chinese visitors.

I'm not saying that all traditional chinese  people are like that... There are still some few modern thinking traditional chinese people like my mom and my dad and some of my aunties...

Every time I bring home a girl into our house, my mom always don't like them. How can I settle for someone if mom is like that....? One day I bring Susie home, her face was not so beautiful but my mom likes her so much because Susie was like a younger version of my mom. They have the same attitude, same physical features.. in short they were like a watermelon cut into two. Last night I introduced Susie to my dad... My dad reacted violently and said " no no no not her Jerry look for another girl" hahahahaha I will be single forever

Love letter to my fiancee on her surprise shower party

                                                                                                              

 

 

 

            The past few weeks, we both have been busy preparing for our special day. Has it ever occurred to you that it's only a matter of days till we exchange our vows? That a few weeks from now, I'll be waking up beside you and spend each moment with you. 

You probably don't know how excited I am to start building our life together.  Secretly, I have been counting the days and it's now 20  more days to go before the big day. The thought of it is making me smile now.

            They say marriage is a journey, a road that we shall travel together. I cannot guarantee that our journey will always be a bed of roses just as I cannot guarantee that I can be a perfect husband but let me guarantee you that I will never allow the humps and bumps along the way beat us. 

We'll walk our journey called life together and I promise to hold your hand no matter what until we reach the finish line. I promise too that by the time we're 75, 85, 95, when the sun sets in and all possible trials have been faced, we can sit on our rocking chairs, play with our grandkids and proudly tell each other,
"hey, we've done a good job!" 

I promise it will be worth your while – our life together.

husband: judge, if  I drop a coin into a vending machine and a coke comes out, who gets the coke, me or the machine???

A baby boy was born and was given a pet dog. The boy grew up a handsome man with the dog as his best friend. The man got married and had a family, still the dog lives with them. One day he went in the field to work. His wife asked him where is our baby, the man said, I left him sleeping together with the dog, the wife got mad and hurried home quickly. When she arrived, the dog was in the door with blood in his mouth, without second thought she stabbed the dog to death, until she finally saw the baby sleeping very soundly with a dead snake beside him.
